Rich - thanks for reminding me about this.
Nate - where do they need to go to sign for their keys to B2?
1) I will be in training for the next 3 days so I will have you coordinate
with Brad Pithan (x7589) as far as a time and place to meet tomorrow.
2) As far as time required, daily chores are pretty simple - feed, water,
observe. I believe that most of the time chores take less than an hour
including clothes change and shower. When the bedding is removed and
replaced, 1 caretaker would spend most of the day bagging the bedding for
incineration at NADC. For 2 caretakers, that was half a day.
3) The agreement when the project began in 2001 was that none of the animal
wastes would go down the drains. We have operated as a "dry barn" since
then. I believe this was an IACUC decision. Dr. Morgan can correct me on
that if I am wrong.
Please let me know what else you need to make this transition.
